Family Trip 2017
2017 is almost over and there is still one thing that my family didn't do yet and that is a family trip. Sure, we went to Sarawak in March but that's for my sister's wedding. Plus, my little brother didn't join back then. So, it's not exactly a family trip per say or maybe it is. Alright, you got me. It is all just an excuse but still, it was worth a try.
Anyway, the topic of the family trip came up during family dinner at Nando's yesterday when my sister told all of us that she will be going to Sri Lanka and Jogjakarta for the next two weeks. Thus, it sparks a debate why she didn't invite us and all that stuff. Either way, it ends with a much-needed family trip at the end of the year.
As much as we like to end it there, there are still some questions left unanswered. Where are we going? How long are we going? How much does it cost? Where are we going to be staying at? Will it be cold or warm country? Again, endless questions with no answers. Fortunately, my sister being a researcher she is, did some research and gave us some of the answers. Of course, the answers came with an approval from my father.
India has never been on my travel wish list. To be honest, I never thought India as a beautiful country. Now, I have nothing against India, I just never feel bothered by it. Not till my favorite Instagrammer, Murad Osmann went to this country and my God, what a beautiful place. I did some research regarding the tourist attractions here in India and I can say that I am falling in love with the idea of going here for a vacation.
Australia has been on my travel wish list since forever. I don't know why but there is something charming about the country. Plus, I have always wanted to see the cute Kangaroo and Koala for real this time! Let's not also forget that Australia has a lot of beautiful places, like The Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Fraser Island, Bondi Beach and much more. Plus, the country itself is not very far from mine.
Oh man, do I need to say more? China is one of the countries that I wanted to visit on my travel wish list. Plus, ever since I watch The Great Wall movie, I am much more determined to go to this lovely country. As a history buff, I think this country is perfect for me. I am not sure about my family though, but who cares! China has a lot of historic and beautiful places to see and of course, the awesome foods.
After a much-needed discussion among ourselves, these three countries came as the top three. Now, this is just a rough list for this year's family trip. We still don't know when or where we are going but we have some ideas in mind. If you guys have any suggestions, please do leave a comment. I am open to any ideas and places that you think is worth the trip. And if you ever go to any of the countries stated, please do suggest on what kind of sight-seeings that we should do.
